MID-YEAR THANKSGIVING & CULTURAL SERVICE 2026
The Mid-Year Thanksgiving & Cultural Service 2026 at Church of God Mission Int’l, Church Aglow, Asaba, was joyfully celebrated on Sunday, 28th June 2026.
The magnificent service, themed “Ebenezer” (1 Samuel 7:12; Psalm 124), was a heartfelt celebration of God’s unfailing faithfulness, glorious help, and preservation throughout the first half of the year.
Delivering the message, Rev. Engr. Christ-Opher Ayidu, Senior Pastor of Church Aglow, reminded the congregation that the greatest reason for Thanksgiving is God’s daily protection and preservation.
He emphasized that every believer has a reason to give thanks, for it is only by God’s mercy that we go out each day and return home safely.
The service was a vibrant expression of unity in diversity as members worshipped God through their various cultural heritages. Draped in beautiful traditional attire, they also showcased a rich variety of cultural delicacies, creating a colourful and joyful atmosphere filled with praise, worship, and heartfelt gratitude to God for His enduring faithfulness.
Indeed, the theme “Ebenezer – Thus Far the Lord Has Helped Us” (1 Samuel 7:12; Psalm 124) resonated throughout the service, reminding everyone that every milestone reached is a testimony of God’s sustaining grace and unfailing help.
